Fair price for value

I needed a Residential Cost Segregation study for my new rental, and I was shopping around to find the best deal. RE Cost Seg offered a free preliminary analysis first, which was nice to see what I could potentially save without any commitment. The cost for the actual study was competitive, and I felt I got good value for the money. The tax savings estimate they provided was substantial, making the whole process worth it.

Thrilled with tax savings!

I can't believe how much RE Cost Seg helped me save on taxes! I got a Fully Engineered Cost Segregation Study for my multi-family property, and the depreciation schedule was incredible. It was so easy to work with them, and they walked me through everything. The report was super detailed and IRS-compliant, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. I'm definitely going to use them again for my other properties and have already told my real estate investor friends about them!

Good Rapid Report service

I used RE Cost Seg for a Rapid Report on a small commercial property I acquired. The process was pretty straightforward; I just needed to provide some property documents. The report itself came back within the timeframe they quoted, and it seemed thorough enough for my needs. The tax savings estimate they gave was pretty close to what my CPA projected too. My only minor issue was that it took a couple of emails to get a clear answer on one of the line items in the depreciation schedule, but customer service did eventually clarify it for me.

Thinking about getting a cost seg study for my rental property. Does this place actually, like, hold up with the IRS? Don't wanna get audited over this stuff.

E Elena Marsh 1 month ago
Yeah, they do. My accountant checked them out before I went with them, said their reports are totally legit and IRS-compliant. No issues for me.

They explicitly state their reports are IRS-compliant, so you should be good. It's kinda their whole thing, making sure you don't run into trouble.

How do these guys compare to, say, KBKG or Engineered Tax Services? Are they pretty much the same service, or is there a big difference?

T Tara R. 1 month ago
I looked at a few of those before going with RE Cost Seg. They all offer pretty similar core services, but I found RE Cost Seg's proposal process to be really straightforward.

I think a lot of these firms are quite similar in what they offer. It often comes down to pricing and how comfortable you feel with their team, honestly.

Can I get a discount if my CPA refers me or something? Or if I have a few properties I want to do all at once?

N Noor C. 1 month ago
Yeah, I think they do CPA referral credits, and definitely multi-property discounts. It's worth asking them about that when you get a quote.

They totally have discounts for multiple properties. And I'm pretty sure there's something for CPAs too, that's a common thing for these kinds of services.

Do they ever have promo codes or anything? Looking to get a study done but always down for a discount.

M Mia 1 month ago
Nah, I've never seen promo codes from them. They usually do free proposals and custom pricing based on how many properties you have or what kind.

They don't really do promo codes, it's more like if you have multiple properties or get a free initial estimate, that's how you save a bit.

Hey, anyone know how long these cost segregation studies actually take? I'm trying to get things sorted before year-end for tax stuff.

M Megan K. 3 weeks ago
It really depends. I got a Rapid Report and that was pretty quick, like a couple weeks. A full engineered study takes longer though, just fyi.

They mention different report types, so the timeline probably varies a lot. You'd probably want to ask them directly for your specific property type.
